Defining Blog Activities

We have some organizational notes that were captured on the white board yesterday. First we looked at the ways that classblogs are organized in regards to the activities being conducted there. This idea initiated with Lankshear and Knobel, 2006. We then utilized Barious (2007) to discuss the types of activities. However, we did not find Barious overly helpful in our High School examples. The types of activities that were mentioned there related to higher education and even more specifically research. Glogoff (2005) talks about describing the use of the blog in the categories of receptive, directive and guided. This still needs to be examined for its usefulness.

SO, we need to look at the usefulness of Glogoff and then define our own list of type of activities.
